Everything happens for a reason and our experiences make us who we are today. Our coping strategies from these experiences become part of out muscle memory and we form habits which can be like a default switch. Some are helpful, others not so. We may think alcohol is wonderful and helps us through life, but eventually  we come to realize this actually does us far more harm than good.
